Worked as a volunteer teacher in a rural elementary school in southwest China (summer 2019).
Liyuan is a graduate student in the MACRM (MA in Public Policy with Certificate in Research Methods) program at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. His research interests span the fields of development economics, the economics of education and education policy.
Prior to Harris, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Jilin University. In his undergraduate thesis, he focuses on the causal effect of education on social mobility in China.
